Dreamworld Theme Park 

Located in Coomera on the Gold Coast and dating back to 1981 when it was first opened, Dreamworld theme park sites on 85 hectares adjacent to the Gold Coast Pacific Highway. With tickets in hand, the gates of Dreamworld open up to ‘Main Street’ which is the main walkway to all the parks activities and is lined with shops and attractions such as the Dreamworld Railway, Remota Boast, IMAX theatre and Croc Pond. Another area inside Dreamworld is Ocean Parade which has fittings, rides and attractions of an Australian beach theme. Dreamworld Ocean Parade rides and attractions include: Stingray, Wipeout, The Claw, FlowRider, Game Site, Cyclone, Reef Diver, the Rock Climbing Wall and the V8 Supercars Red Line.

 

Popular amongst young children and those in their early teens is Dreamworld’s Nickelodeon Central which offers themed rides and attractions based around the characters and programmes from Nickelodeon TV. While there is so much to enjoy at Nickelodeon Central popular rides and attractions include: Slime Bowl, Swinger Zinger, Dora the Explorer Sea Planes, Nick-o-Round and SpongeBob FlyPants. Departing Nickelodeon Central on the Dreamworld Train you and your family can travel the short distance to the Australian Wildlife Experience. Home to around 800 native Australian animals, the Australian Wildlife Experience at Dreamworld includes kangaroos, crocodiles, koalas and Australian farm animals.

Gold Coast Theme Park PassesUndoubtedly the most popular Dreamworld attraction for toddlers is Wiggles World. Themed around the highly successful and popular Australian children’s entertainers ‘The Wiggles’ there are rides and attractions recreating this much adored entertainers and all their friends including: Captain Feathersword’s Ship, Big Red Car Ride and Wiggles Farmyard Friends. Dorothy the Dinosaur, Henry the Octopus, Wags the Dog and Captain Feathersword are all in attendance and only on rare occasions do the four members of the Wiggles perform.

A short but exciting section of Dreamworld is Tiger Island which has tiger shows each day with Sumatran and Bengal tigers often challenging the commands of their handlers. Not far from Tiger Island is Rivertown at Dreamworld where you will also find the entrance to Mick Doohan’s Motocoaster and the very popular, but hair raising, Tower of Terror. The Wild West comes to life at Dreamworld’s Gold Rush Country which is where you will also find the theme parks two water rides Rocky Hollow Log Ride and the Thunder River Rapids. Rides and attractions in this section of Dreamworld also include the Giant Drop and is the launch pad for Helicopter Joy Flights.
There is so much to do at Dreamworld is a good idea to come prepared with wide sun smart hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, camera and a water. The 'Yummy Yummy' shop is situated at Wiggles World is the ideal family venue to enjoy lunch and drinks. If you can arrive early do so as there are inevitably very long queues during the popular lunch hours.
