Southport Golf Club is located a short distance from all the action on the Gold Coast and close to your Gold Coast accommodation. The Southport Golf course is an easy walking course with tree lined fairways and strategically placed water catchment areas. The course starts with a reasonable par 5 and most golfers meander through the first nine holes comfortably. The back nine is where games are won or lost with "amen" corner commencing with the par 3, 14th hole. This is where Southport has held itself together in tight pennant matches. Southport Golf Club runs for a 5792m par 71 for men and a 5316m par 73 for women. There are full clubhouse facilities, motorised buggies for hire and social golf is available seven days a week around competition times.

Centro Tweed is located at the southern end of the Queensland Gold Coast region, on the border of Queensland and New South Wales. The centre features large fresh food and grocery retaillers together with around 100 specialty shops selling fashion, homewares and general merchandise. Centro Tweed serves a local population of approximately 73,000 residents plus the large number of tourists who visit throughout the year. Major stores at Centro Tweed include: Target, Coles, Woolworths, Terry White chemists, McDonald’s, Muffin Break and Gloria Jeans. There is a food court which seats 350 people.
Centro Tweed is serviced by a bus and taxi rank at the Wharf Street entrance, making it a convenient place to shop for all visitors. There are approximately 1000 car parking spaces. The centre also offers complimentary wheel chair hire.
