Attractions At Dream World Gold Coast, Queensland

Dreamworld is situated on the Gold Coast in Australia's tropical state, Queensland. The coastal strip is one of Australia's premier holiday destinations for both domestic and international tourists as it combines stunning beaches and natural beauty with loads of attractions and fun. When visiting Queensland, Dreamworld Gold Coast, is a very popular day trip.

The theme park is located at the south of the Gold Coast on the highway that connects the Gold Coast with Brisbane. To get to the park you can drive and there is plenty of free parking, or there are public transport services that are available from the coast. If you are coming from Brisbane, there is a train service that connects to Dreamworld by shuttle bus.

Dreamworld has been thrilling visitors for more than 20 years and it is centered around an Australian theme. There are many, many different rides that are included in the park ticket price that can be enjoyed by everyone in the family from toddlers to adults. For an additional fee you can also purchase a ticket to the attached water park, which has loads of slides and pools to enjoy. The tropical climate of the Gold Coast, means that you can swim virtually all year round with no problems.

Start with the Wipeout, which twists and turns you as if you have been caught up in a wipeout wave. Right near that is The Claw, which is like a giant pendulum that swings back and forth while twisting and cavorting at great heights.

When you have warmed up with those rides, it is time for the heavy duty scream inducers: the Tower of Terror and The Giant Drop. The Tower of Terror slides you along a track at high speed and up a perpendicular track to high above the park. You then return backwards at high speed. The ride is over very quickly, but the memory of the velocity will remain in your leaping heart and stomach.

The Giant Drop is another thrill seekers ride, you whizz up to great heights over the park and then, when the tension has really been built up, you drop at high speeds. If this doesn't put your heart in your mouth, then nothing will!

There are also heaps of family rides at the park, that everybody enjoys regardless of age. A constant favourite is the Thunder River Rapids Ride during which you float down the rapids in a giant round boat and get splashed in the process. Other rides in the park for families include the Reef Diver, Avis Antique Cars, the Stingray and the Railway. For the little kids there is Nickelodeon World and Wiggles World.

A day out at Dreamworld Gold Coast is a load of fun for everyone in the family. There is plenty to do and see and if you don't get around to doing everything that you want to do, then you can purchase a return ticket for the next day at a super low price as you leave the park in the afternoon.
